In December 2018, the iconic Atlantis, The Palm, opened the doors of its much-anticipated ultra-elegant Imperial Club Lounge. Covering two floors and 33,250 sq ft, the Lounge offers a luxury retreat spread with a beautiful outdoor terrace, only available to guests staying in the Imperial Club rooms. Everything is tailored to emphasise convenience, comfort and style accompanied with benefits including luxury airport transports, private check-in and check-out, breakfast in the distinguished Lounge and much more. AAID was tasked with creating a uniquely tailored lounge that would take members from breakfast through to the early hours all while providing a place to work, dine, socialize and relax.
The design intent was based around the need to create a diverse guest experience merging comfort, privacy and relaxation. Distinct and unique seating arrangements that vary from formal dining and flexible lounges, private and intimate destinations. The look and feel of the lounge is a harmonious blend of the brand’s identity with classic contemporary features. An elegant retreat from the buzz and excitement of its parent aquatic wonderland environment.
The overall colour palette and material selections express a neutral and fresh background allowing playful aquatic tones of blue and coral to be noticed as they carry throughout the space. The soft seductive ambiance that enhance the convivial atmosphere, paying homage to an underwater world.
Shoals of shimmering chandeliers flow through the central corridors, leading the way to the focal bar and lounges arranged in bays and quiet harbors to entertain and refresh guests. Overlapping scales and coral formations and pearlescent finishes gleam and shine with jewel like colours. Providing rhythms which return and re-echo across the furnishings.
